  1. Ranch Descriptions must be related to the game, and must follow the Rules Of Conduct and the Terms Of Service. You may not post chat rooms, personal webpages, vulgarity/obscenity, threats, ads for other games/websites, pictures, graphics, or backgrounds. The only exception for links to websites outside Equine-Ranch would be a link to a fansite page dedicated to your game ranch as long as it is appropriate, and does not advertise other online games. Ranch descriptions may be edited or deleted without warning and/or the ability to have a ranch description may be revoked by Equine-Ranch Administrators if it is, in the opinion of the administration, not in compliance with Equine-Ranch Rules.
  2. Owner Comments on a horse's page must relate to that horse, and abide by the Rules Of Conduct and the Terms Of Service. Owner Comments may be edited or deleted without warning by Equine-Ranch Administrators if it is, in the opinion of the administration, not in compliance with Equine-Ranch Rules.
  3. Rules for Registration - Each horse must be given a name that is acceptable to the E-R Registry.
    1. The name may not exceed 30 characters, including letters, apostrophes, and spaces.
    2. Arabic numbers are not permitted. Roman numerals are permitted as a suffix.
    3. Punctuation other than apostrophes are not allowed.

    5. Horse names may not contain any of the following:
      1. References to sex
      2. Racial slurs
      3. Threats
      4. Vulgarity
      5. Obscenity
      6. Drug Use
      7. Alcohol Consumption
    6. Horse names must comply with the Rules Of Conduct and the Terms Of Service and can be edited or deleted without warning by Equine-Ranch Administrators if they are, in the opinion of the administration, not in compliance with Equine-Ranch Rules.
    7. Violation of this rule will result in the permanent revocation of the horse's registration.
  4. Do not falsely advertise.
    1. Only list horses for what you actually intend to do with them, and if you list a horse for sale, sell it in the condition it was listed in and for the price you asked. Do not falsely advertise a horse in ANY way. False advertising includes (but is not limited to) the following:
      1. Placing it for sale as a Stallion or Mare and then gelding or spaying it before you accept the offer.
      2. Placing it for sale for a low price, and asking for a higher price.
      3. Listing the horse for sale on approval, then switching it to auction to get a higher price.
      4. Declining valid offers then relisting the horse at a higher price.
      5. Telling a player you will accept their offer, then not accept their offer. (breach of contract)
      6. Posting a leasing classified ad with no intention of leasing the horse.
      7. Listing a horse for public sale with no intention of selling the horse. The horse must be for sale AT the time of the ad listing! Not in a day, not after the next futurity, not when its foal is weaned, right NOW!
      8. Posting an ad of any kind (sale, stud, lease, brood, etc.) with the purpose being to advertise a different service offered (i.e. training, signatures, etc.) or to place a "want" ad.
      9. Listing a stallion at public stud when he is not available for live cover breedings. (Should be in the Semen for Sale listings, not public stud listings.)
      10. Listing a horse at public sale that is intended for a specific person. (Should be sold through private sales, not public sales.)
    2. Punishment for violating this rule may include: Revocation of ability to buy/lease/sell horses and semen, SIM cash fines, House arrest, Confiscation of horse(s), or permanent suspension from the game.
  5. You may not “buy breedings” from other accounts to get around the limitations of your account. This means you may not send any mare you own to another account so that she may breed there, and then returned to you so that you get the foal.
  6. You may not move your horses off your ranch, reset your ranch, then move them back. After all the point to resetting is to start fresh. Punishment for violating this rule may include: Account reset and Convicted Cheater banner permenently displayed on the public ranch page for all accounts used in the violation of this rule, sim cash fines, revocation of ability to buy/lease/sell horses and semen, or permanent suspension from the game.
  7. You may not hold someone's horses for them while they reset their account.

Rules For Associated Accounts

  1. Each player who joined after August 13, 2010 may have a total of one (1) account.
Each player that joined prior to August 13, 2010 may play on the accounts they had prior to August 13, 2010 that had been upgraded. Creating any account on or after August 13, 2010 will violate this rule.
Punishment for violating this rule may include: Permanent suspension or deletion of your account(s), sim cash fines, public announcement of your rule breaking activity, and permanent banning from accessing the server.
  2. Interaction between Associated Accounts.
    1. Associated Accounts are defined as any two or more accounts that have been accessed from the same network or computer, or are operated by the same player, or operated by players in the same household or location.
    2. Prohibited interaction between associated accounts includes, but is not limited to:
      1. Draining the cash from one account into another.
      2. Draining the horses from one account into another.
      3. Using multiple accounts to gain extra breedings.
      4. Using one account to train for another associated account.
      5. Using a higher level account to give benefits to lower level associated accounts.
      6. Offering stud services to associated accounts if the stallion is not publically available to everyone.
      7. Giving cash or horses to an associated account.
      8. Consolidating ranches by moving or selling a large quantity, majority, or all of the horses from one or more ranches onto one ranch.
      9. Storing more than one canister of semen for a stallion. Semen stored on a ranch must be for use on that ranch, or for sale to the public. You may not use multiple ranches to build large stores of semen.
      10. Moving horses off an account you wish to terminate.
    3. You may not sell nor lease horses, nor sell frozen semen between associated accounts. You may not use stallions at public stud on an associated account.
    4. You may not do "three way sales" to circumvent the prevention of sales between two associated accounts. Violating this rule will also result in the accomplice being punished too.
    5. Associated Accounts may not be operated as a single entity. You may not use Associated Accounts as a cooperative in any way. Examples of prohibited cooperatives:
      1. Using one account to show, one to breed, one to sell, one to train.
      2. Using multiple accounts together as an association, conglomerate, monopoly, empire, or syndicate that would give yourself an advantage over players with single accounts.
      3. Operating your accounts in such a way that it allows you to work outside the set limitations on a single account.
    6. Punishment for violating this rule may include: Account reset and Convicted Cheater banner permenently displayed on the public ranch page for all accounts used in the violation of this rule, sim cash fines, revocation of ability to buy/lease/sell horses and semen, or permanent suspension from the game.

The Administration reserves the right to take action in instances not mentioned specifically here if they feel it goes against the spirit of the game.

Violation of the rules can result in suspension of your accounts, SIM cash fines, public announcement of your rule breaking activity, and permanent banning from accessing the server.
